Incredibly, they’ve surpassed their target with $356,029 raised through a total of 12,500 donations.

“THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! I truly cannot say thank you enough. This is amazing! We are so grateful to have such an amazing community rallying behind us,” the family said in an update on the GoFundMe page. ❤️

When he was just 17 months old, a fire nearly claimed baby Dylan Mills’ life – leaving burns and scars across most of his body.

His dad also suffered serious burns trying to rescue him, while Dylan’s mother pulled him to safety on that harrowing day in 2009.

Now, 16 years later, Dylan has been crowned Tarkington ISD’s Homecoming King alongside Homecoming Queen Ashlyn Primeaux. 👑

Since the incident, Dylan has been thriving in life – playing sports, radiating joy, and uplifting everyone around him.

In a rare, heartfelt interview with ABC Radio, he said he’d given up drinking a year and a half earlier and refused to go on a liver transplant list.⁠

“I’m not taking a liver from a 10-year-old kid,” he said bluntly, true to form.⁠

Doctors had told him in 2008 that he had only a few years left.⁠

Yet even as his health declined, Chopper kept appearing in public, his sharp wit and grim humour intact.⁠

By 2012, he was battling liver cancer, and the following year he died at 58 – leaving behind a legacy as violent as it was strangely charismatic, a man who turned infamy into folklore.
